Privacy Policy

Jam Jar collects nothing, sends nothing and has no servers.

Effective 9 September 2026. Applies to the Jam Jar app for iPhone and iPad.

The short version

Jam Jar contains no networking code. It cannot send data anywhere because it never opens a connection. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking. Everything described below stays on your own device and is deleted when you delete the app.

1. What the app stores on your device

None of it is transmitted. All of it is removed when you delete the app, or immediately if you choose Empty Kitchen in Settings.

2. What we do not do

No personal data is collected, so none is stored on a server, shared, sold or disclosed.
No analytics or measurement SDK of any kind is embedded.
No advertising, no ad network and no advertising identifier (IDFA) is requested or used.
No tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. The app's bundled privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false, an empty tracking-domain list and an empty collected-data-types list.
No third-party service, data provider, authentication service or AI service is involved in the app's operation.

3. Permissions

Every permission below is optional and is requested only at the moment you tap the feature that needs it. Declining any of them leaves the rest of the game working exactly as before.

Photo Library	Only when you tap Library in the Label Studio	A single chosen picture is copied into the app. The original is not modified. The app never browses your library on its own.
Notifications	Only if you accept the reminder offer, on the fortune card screen or in Settings	Up to two local notifications a day, scheduled on device. No push server is involved and no token is sent anywhere.

4. Required reason APIs

Apple asks developers to declare certain APIs and the reason they are used. Jam Jar declares exactly one, in its bundled PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest:

User Defaults — reason CA92.1. Used solely to read and write this app's own settings, accessible only to this app.

No other declared-reason API category is used.

5. Children

Jam Jar is suitable for all ages and contains no user-generated content that is shared, no chat, no links out to social networks and no purchases. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, there is nothing gathered from children either.

6. Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, portability and erasure apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. Everything Jam Jar creates lives on your device and is fully under your control: Settings › Empty Kitchen erases it immediately, and deleting the app removes it along with the app itself.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version ships inside the app and is published here, with a new effective date at the top.
